Maintenance is Key

This program is not a warranty; it is designed to maximize the lifecycle of your roofing system. Most manufacturers recommend annual inspection and maintenance as a minimum but prefer bi-annual inspections. This is usually required to keep material warranties in effect, and most warranties will be voided without proper maintenance and records.

Your roof is a major investment, and one that should be protected. In most cases, the roof is overlooked when it comes to maintenance until there is a problem resulting in premature failure and unexpected and avoidable expenses.

For pennies per foot you can protect your investment. Ignoring the roof can be an expensive oversight. Taking a proactive approach with an inspection and preventative maintenance program will not only prolong the service life of the roofing system and delay costly re-roofing, but it will also provide valuable information such as:

. Annual visual status in the format of digital photos
. Prevent major interior damage due to unknown roof damage
. Allow time for budgeting for major repairs or re-roofing due to forecasting in roof reports
. Eliminate surprise financial obligations
. Professional opinion on post roof accessory installations, i.e., satellite dish, solar heaters, antennas, tenant improvements, etc.
. Wind and hail damage and/or debris accumulation
. History of completed maintenance

The services provided with the Roof Guard Program are all geared toward implementing a constructive approach to protect your roof system.  Areas itemized and highlighted at each inspection include the following:

. Clean all debris off of roof and dispose of in proper manner
. Inspect entire roof field system for proper adhesion, including fasteners
. Refasten materials affected by minor wind damage, provide an estimate for major damage
. Inspect entire roof field system for blisters, cracks and seam separation
. Inspect parapet wall flashing, re-fasten and reseal where necessary
. Inspect and reseal all roof penetrations, plumbing, A/C, curbs, chimneys and vents
. Inspect all drains, scuppers, gutters and waterways for water tightness
. Clear all waterways of debris to ensure proper drainage
. Inspect all post roof installation accessories; satellite dish, solar heaters, antennas, etc.
. Repair all small, obvious, potential roof leaks
. Estimate cost of any deficiencies observed that are not covered by Roof Guard
. Notification of any unknown alterations that may cause future damage

New & Existing Roofs

The Roof Guard Program is available to both new and existing roofing systems. With an existing roof, it may be necessary to repair or refurbish the roof in order to bring it to an acceptable maintainable state. In these instances, a separate proposal will be submitted that outlines the cost of necessary repairs.

Emergency Service

With the Roof Guard Program you will also be given a discounted hourly repair rate and the minimum repair charge will be waived. This agreement will also give you 24-hour emergency service; emergency service is only available to Roof Guard participants at a reasonable rate.

Extend Your Warranty

If The Roofing Company performs the original installation of your roofing system and the Roof Guard System is in place from the beginning, your warranty will be extended as long as the roof is under the Roof Guard Program for up to ten years.
